Kings Come Calling

Kings discover newfound success from unlikely sources.The Sacramento Kings have been an essential part of the NBA, as pioneering members, who have been more infamous for changing franchise names than being actually successful. In the past nine seasons alone, the Kings have had a record of 244-478 (0.510). Simply put, they have been blatantly bad. There are many different reasons as to why this has become a trend; however that is all in hindsight. Now, the team has found their franchise tags from the most unlikely of sources. Demarcus Cousins was present as the number fifth pick, out of the University of Kentucky, in the 2010 draft class for the Sacramento Kings. Live To Inspire Many obstacles are thrown in our direction almost every day. The lesson that arises from difficult situations is how we bounce back from it. How do we accept what has happened and learn to move forward? Inspiration lies all around us. Students that we pass everyday in the hallway have stories. Stories that can make you understand them more. Stories that give you goosebumps. Stories that help you understand why they act a certain way. Taking the time to learn about people is pivotal, and can offer encouragement and guidance to your own life. A student from Citrus Valley High School has a particular story that is extremely close to her heart and offers a guide to how she lives her life. Perspectives from a Positively Stressed Senior
By ANNIE DELGADO I have always been a good writer. Alongside history, English proved to be my best subject. I enjoyed writing, whether it was an assignment for school or a piece for my own personal pleasure. It was not until I joined a journalism class that I began to love writing. Being in journalism, especially being an editor is not easy. You have to cover the hard stories, edit numerous articles, create layouts for your page, on top of writing your own column, running meetings and staying up for all hours of the night to make sure everything looks just right. Although this can be tiring at times, I would not trade this for the world . . . |
